WHO IS WHO in the association Voice of Entrepreneurs

At the moment when the global pandemic of the coronavirus was declared in mid-March this year, which almost paralyzed the economy threatening the complete destruction of some industries, and the Croatian government announced the first package of economic measures that were nowhere near adequate for the situation, the public scene was broken by the Voice of Entrepreneurs.

Given that no association of entrepreneurs reacted to the government’s measures, several entrepreneurs led by Hrvoje Bujas (co-owner of the company Pravi klik and brands Crno jaje and GoHome, as well as the company Siguran klik and the brand Osiguraj.me; a member and co-founder of the association CISEx, of which he was also one of the first presidents) and Dražen Oreščanin (co-founder and partner at the company Poslovna inteligencija) launched an initiative that was immediately supported by more than five thousand companies and crafts, and soon more than twenty-five thousand entrepreneurs gathered in their Facebook group.

Just a day after launching the initiative, they sent ten requests for measures to the Croatian government, the most important of which was #WriteOffNotDeferral for taxes and contributions on salaries for all business entities that were closed by the government’s decision due to the pandemic or have a significant drop in revenue. Most of their requests were accepted in the second package of April measures, and the association Voice of Entrepreneurs was formally established two weeks later, specifically on April 3. The founders used the model of similar and influential associations of small and medium employers that exist in the United Kingdom, Germany, the USA, and other leading world economies.

The Voice of Entrepreneurs today gathers around twelve thousand members from various sectors, from media and construction to healthcare and the IT industry, as well as transport and education. However, most of its members are from the hospitality, trade, personal services, and tourism sectors, which have been the most affected by the corona crisis.
