The electric bike manufacturer Greyp Bikes, a sister company of Rimac Automobili founded by Mate Rimac, has officially begun operations in the USA. They operate in the American market through Greyp Bikes USA, which was established earlier this year and is located in San Pedro, California. Greyp USA is led by Allyson Voight, while supporting functions such as marketing and after-sales support are handled by a team from Sveta Nedelja. The Greyp G12S bike has already been riding in the USA for some time, and these are bikes that were sold from Croatia.

The initial intention was to present themselves to the market at the largest cycling festival in the USA, which takes place in mid-April, but due to the pandemic and a large number of states in isolation, they had to adjust their plans. – We exported the bikes produced in Sveta Nedelja and all the equipment on time, and during the isolation, we thought about how to mark Greyp’s arrival in the American market. The decision was made for a currently very popular virtual presentation. Last week, we presented ourselves to the American media – from the idea behind the bike, the beginnings of the company, production to all the details of the G6 bikes, and we also introduced them to the American setup of the company. Our company and bikes were presented by Mate Rimac, CEO of Rimac Automobili and Greyp Bikes, and Krešimir Hlede, COO of Greyp Bikes – they say at Greyp.

They decided on this step after realizing the size of the potential of the American market – interest in their products is high, and they have already developed a network of partners across the USA. Currently, they emphasize at Greyp Bikes, there is no competition for their product there because Greyp 'first and foremost a technological showcase, a smart & connected bike that brings a completely different understanding of the traditional two-wheeler'. They continue their collaboration with Deutsche Telekom across the pond – their bikes are equipped with an eSIM chip that enables constant connectivity.

After they presented the Greyp G6 last March – the first in a series of their smart & connected bikes, to the European market in Zagreb and Brač, and began sales activities mainly focusing on the markets of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (although they have sold bikes in Australia, Peru, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Norway, and the Netherlands), this is part of their plan for further business expansion.

– For now, things look excellent – they say at Greyp.
