Some of the most successful Croatian entrepreneurs will share their knowledge and experiences from the entrepreneurial world on June 9, starting at 10 AM, and the live program can be followed via Poduzetnik’s YouTube channel.

After the exceptional success of the first conference „Entrepreneurial Mindset“, held in September 2019, the proven team, consisting of program partner EY Croatia, the magazine Poduzetnik, and Saša Cvetojević & Broadcast, returns on Tuesday, June 9 starting at 10 AM with the conference „Entrepreneurial Mindset for Students“. In the context of the so-called „new normal“, the conference will focus on youth as future creators of a better world, aiming to encourage them to develop critical thinking, realize their life vision, and empower them to step out of their comfort zone into the world of entrepreneurship.

It is well known that employers struggle to find and even more so to retain quality employees, which is why this conference will also address employer branding, which is becoming a top topic in Croatia. As Generation Z has recently entered the labor market and become a huge market capital, the fact that young people in Croatia lack sufficient quality role models and mentors is becoming an increasing challenge. Therefore, planting the seed of an entrepreneurial mindset in new generations is the only  way to make entrepreneurs leaders of society, and this conference will enable young people, as well as anyone who feels this way, to be inspired by successful Croatian entrepreneurs.

On behalf of the hosts, the conference will be opened by Ognjen Bagatin, General Director of Bagatin Polyclinic, while Berislav Horvat, the main partner of the consulting-auditing firm EY for Croatia, and serial entrepreneur Saša Cvetojević will moderate discussions with renowned entrepreneurs Nenad Bakić and Urška Sršen. Urška Sršen, co-founder of Bellabeat, a Croatian technology company that deals with smart jewelry, will talk about her youthful beginnings, while Nenad Bakić will present his project Croatian Makers League, the largest extracurricular STEM movement in Europe, which gathers more than 150,000 children just in Croatia.

Filip Ljubić, founder of Q Software, will discuss the startup concept, while Alan Sumina, co-owner and member of the Management Board of Nanobit, will talk about the beginnings of the strongest Croatian gaming company in the context of the 2008 crisis, which turned out to be an opportunity for them.

In a panel moderated by Stephanie E. Trpkov, advisor at the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) and mentor for startups at ZICER, participants will include Matej Špoler, co-founder and technical director at Infinum, Aleksandra Dojčinović, designer and owner of the brand LeiLou by Alex, and Danijel Ackermann, co-founder of Degordiana, the most awarded digital marketing company in Croatia.

All interested parties, regardless of whether they are young and engaged in entrepreneurship themselves, will be able to follow the conference program live via Poduzetnik’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, June 9, starting at 10 AM.
