SLUNJ – In Slunj, contracts for the construction of water supply systems in the Karlovac and Sisak-Moslavina counties will be signed (2 PM, Public Open University, Trg dr. Franje Tuđmana 9). Six contracts will be signed covering Slunj, Cetingrad, Topusko, Jasenovac, and Generalski Stol. The total value of the projects amounts to 43.72 million kuna excluding VAT, and Hrvatske vode secured 14.93 million kuna in 2020 for the construction of these water supply systems. The contracts will be signed by the general director of Hrvatske vode Zoran Đuroković and representatives of public water service providers. The signing will be attended by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, who will then visit the locations from the project “Water Secrets of Slunj”. Minister of Environment and Energy Tomislav Ćorić and Minister of Croatian Veterans Tomo Medved, as well as the Karlovac and Sisak-Moslavina county prefects Damir Jelić and Ivo Žinić, the mayor of Slunj Jure Katić, and others will also be present.

ZAGREB – The contract for the allocation of non-repayable funds for projects financed from EU funds in the financial period 2014-2020 – Early Warning and Crisis Management System (SRUUK) will be signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović together with Minister of Environment and Energy Tomislav Ćorić and general director of Hrvatske vode Zoran Đuroković. The signing of the contract at the Ministry of the Interior will also be attended by the assistant minister of the interior for civil protection Damir Trut, Minister of Health Vili Beroš, director of the Croatian Institute of Public Health Krunoslav Capak, director of the Croatian Institute of Emergency Medicine Maja Grba-Bujević, and director of the “Dr. Fran Mihaljević” Clinic for Infectious Diseases Alemka Markotić, who will inform the public about the current epidemiological situation and the work of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia (11 AM, MUP, Ulica grada Vukovara 33). A joint media statement is scheduled for 11:15 AM, after the signing of the contract. Media at the MUP port should arrive by 10:40 AM).

ZAGREB – The 2020 fire season will be announced at a press conference by representatives of the Croatian Firefighters Association, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of the Interior, Croatian Forests, and the State Hydrometeorological Institute (10 AM, Office of the Croatian Firefighters Association, Selska cesta 90 a).

PULA – The president of the SDP and leader of the Restart coalition Davor Bernardić will hold a press conference in Pula on the topic “Parliamentary Elections 2020”. Also present will be the president of the SDP Main Board and coordinator for the 8th electoral unit Erik Fabijanić, the mayor of Umag and president of the SDP Istria County Board Vili Bassanese, the president of the SDP Pula City Organization Sanja Radolović, and Member of the European Parliament Romana Jerković (12:30 PM, Narodni trg, by the fish market).

ZAGREB – The president of the Homeland Movement Miroslav Škoro, MP Slaven Dobrović, councilor in the Brod-Posavina County Assembly Ružica Vukovac, and councilor in the Maksimir-Zagreb City District Vlado Marić will announce their joint participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections (11 AM, Hotel International, Mediterranean Hall, Miramarska 24. ZAGREB – The parties Možemo!, Nova ljevica, Radnička fronta, ORaH, Zagreb je naš! and Za grad will hold a press conference in front of the entrance to HDZ, regarding the latest case of corruption in the management of renewable energy sources and natural resources (9:30 AM, in front of the entrance to the HDZ headquarters, Trg žrtava fašizma 4). At the conference, Tomislav Tomašević and Danijela Dolenec (Možemo!/Zagreb je naš!) and Zorislav Antun Petrović (ORaH) will speak about the importance of transparent, fair, and democratic management of the energy sector in the green transformation.

ZAGREB – The parties Pametno and Fokus will present new coalition partners for the upcoming parliamentary elections at a press conference. Also present will be the president of the Pametno party Marijana Puljak, the president of Fokus Davor Nađi, the president of the Independent List Zagreb Marijana Sumpor, and independent candidate Davor Huić, president of the “Lipa” association (10:10 AM, Kamaufova 9).

KARLOVAC – The president of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović will visit the Karlovac company HS Produkt. Along with a short presentation, the president will also tour the production facilities of the company (11 AM, Mirka Bogovića 7).

ZAGREB – Cable manufacturer Elka will launch a new production line worth 15 million kuna. Elka generates an annual revenue of 450 million kuna, employs 220 workers, and is the largest cable manufacturer in the region. The company generates 85 percent of its revenue from exports. The new production line will be launched by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković as announced (11:15 AM, Elka, Koledovčina 1).

PULA/BALE – Minister of Tourism Gari Cappelli will visit Pula and sign a contract for the allocation of non-repayable funds for the Regional Competence Center in Pula at the Pula School for Tourism, Hospitality, and Trade (11:00 AM, statements at 11:30 AM). The minister will visit the recently completed tourist investment at Villa Noble, as well as Meneghetti Wine Hotel & Winery.
