According to unofficial information from the portal cijenegoriva.info, there could be a SLIGHT decrease in the prices of all petroleum derivatives in Croatia on Tuesday. Namely, the average tank of 50 liters eurosuper 95 could be cheaper by TWO kunas. The average tank of 50 liters eurodiesel could also be CHEAPER by TWO kunas, while the average tank of 50 liters of autogas could decrease by ONE kuna. For now, this is the information from the market, but if there are any changes, Lider will, of course, announce it.
Oil prices in global markets rose last week for the fifth consecutive week, as further production cuts are expected, while demand for oil is expected to increase as many countries around the world are resuming economic activities, given the slowdown in the spread of the coronavirus. On the London market, the price of a barrel for August delivery rose by 7.7 percent last week to $37.84, while on the American market, the barrel increased by 6.7 percent to $35.49.
In the last five weeks, oil prices have significantly increased as many countries are easing restrictive measures imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus, thus economic activity is resuming, and demand for oil is strengthening.
Recall that last week, after the price of a barrel rose for four consecutive weeks, fuel prices in Croatia also increased. Given that demand for petroleum derivatives has also risen in Europe and Croatia, there is a likelihood that the upward price trend in Croatia will continue. However, this should not happen on Tuesday, despite expectations. The exchange rate of the dollar, which slipped by 0.41 percent last week, also played a role in this.
