SAINT ELIJA – Prime Minister Andrej Plenković will participate in the opening of the construction of the new Vladimir Nazor Primary School. Alongside the Prime Minister will be Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction and Spatial Planning Predrag Štromar and Minister of Science and Education Blaženka Divjak (10 AM, Školska Street 7).

RIJEKA – Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković and Mayor of Rijeka Vojko Obersnel will sign the Contract for the concession for the special use of maritime property for the implementation of the Rijeka – European Capital of Culture (EPK) 2020 program (10 AM, Exportdrva building, Delta). After the proposal for the Decision on granting the concession was adopted at last week’s Government session, the conditions for signing the Concession Agreement for the use of the former Exportdrva warehouse, covering an area of 5,641 m², have been met. The concession is granted to the City of Rijeka in the Rijeka port area for the purpose of carrying out program activities of the Rijeka – EPK 2020 project, which includes the production and performance of cultural, artistic, and entertainment programs and events, such as exhibitions, musical and stage performances, and other activities.

ZAGREB – The Ministry of Labour and Pension System will host the signing of the contract for the allocation of funds for the operation "MY PENSION – Improving REGOS services in the labor market". The contract will be signed by Minister of Labour and Pension System Josip Aladrović, Director of the Central Register of Insured Persons Iskra Primorac, and Director of the Croatian Employment Service Ante Lončar, and after the signing, statements from the signatories will be available (12 PM, Vukovar City Street 78). The value of the contract is over 54 million kuna, co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Program Efficient Human Resources 2014-2020. The Central Register of Insured Persons will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the services it provides to users in the field of pension insurance through this project. The project includes the establishment of Pension Information Centers, the development of the "My Pension" portal, and the mobile application "mREGOS", as well as the education of employees in the involved institutions.

ZAGREB – At the 86th session of the Commission for the Decision on Conflict of Interest, among other things, there will be discussions on the decision to initiate or not initiate proceedings in the case of  Blaženka Divjak, Minister of Science and Education, and  Milorad Pupovac, Member of the Croatian Parliament" (10 AM, Kneza Mutimira Street 5). HTV will provide a live signal from the Commission sessions. Consequently, TV stations are requested not to send journalists to the session as their presence cannot be ensured due to limited space, and access for representatives of printed media will be granted in the order of receipt of notifications of intent to attend the session.

ZAGREB – SDP Zagreb will hold a press conference in front of the III Gymnasium Zagreb, or the Dragutin Kušlan Primary School, on the topic "Chaos in the education system before the second start of classes on Monday, with a special focus on the situation in Zagreb". The conference will feature the president of the SDP City Organization Zagreb Gordan Maras, secretary of the SDP City Organization Zagreb Tanja Đaković, president of the SDP Local Organization Peščenica Žitnjak Mato Šimić, and a representative of the parents of the school’s students (10:30 AM, Kušlanova 52).

ZAGREB – On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity and Nature Protection Day, at the Trupeljak family farm, the president of the Homeland Movement Miroslav Škoro and the president of the Green List Nenad Matić, as coalition partners, will hold a press conference and symbolically plant two maple trees (10 AM, OPG Trupeljak, Novoselečki Put 40).

ZAGREB – Ahead of the e-session of the Zagreb County Assembly, County Prefect Stjepan Kožić will present a proposal for the budget rebalancing at a press conference.  The agenda of the session will be presented by the president of the County Assembly Mato Čičak (11 AM, Zagreb County premises, Hall 19, Vukovar City Street 72/V). The final decision on the budget rebalancing will be made at the 19th session of the County Assembly, which will be held on May 28.

ZAGREB – A press conference will be held by the Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandić on the occasion of the commencement of energy renovation works on the building of the Dobriša Cesarić Primary School (OŠ). The school’s principal Gordana Fileš will also participate in the conference (1 PM, Ksavera Šandora Đalskog 29 (school yard). The energy renovation project is being implemented according to the Grant Agreements for projects financed from European Structural and Investment Funds in the financial period 2014 – 2020, concluded with the Ministry of Construction and Spatial Planning and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.

SISAK – The president of the SDP and leader of the Restart coalition Davor Bernardić will hold a press conference in front of the Dutch House, where he will discuss preparations for the parliamentary elections and the current political situation. The mayor of Sisak Kristina Ikić Baniček, SDP coordinator for the 6th electoral district Davorko Vidović, and Nikola Domitrović, president of the SDP of Sisak-Moslavina County, will also participate in the conference (2:45 PM, Rimska Street 10).

ZAGREB – The Center for Peace Studies and the Welcome Initiative! are organizing the action "Investigation, not denial" in front of the Ministry of the Interior building, aiming to draw attention to the fact that two weeks have passed since the publication of photographs showing the physical marking of refugees with orange spray across their heads, which refugees claim was carried out by the Croatian police during illegal expulsions from the territory of the Republic of Croatia. Due to what they describe as inadequate response from the Ministry of the Interior, organizations advocating for the protection of refugees’ human rights will demand that the Ministry take responsibility and begin conducting effective and quality internal investigations and not hinder independent investigations. Sara Kekuš from the Center for Peace Studies will be available for media statements (10 AM, Vukovar City Street 33).

ZAGREB – The president of the Croatian Chamber of Agriculture Mladen Jakopović will give a media statement regarding two important EU strategies – for "Biodiversity" and "From Farm to Fork". Concerned about the proposals of these two strategies, which are to be implemented with a reduced budget for agriculture, the Croatian Chamber of Agriculture believes that a broad public discussion on their impact on agriculture in Croatia is necessary (10:30 AM, HPK premises, Vukovar City Street 78).
