The era of crisis has completely changed the way and importance of our communication. Only now do we see how important the small, simple things we take for granted are. After all, only now do we see how little we need to be satisfied. And now you have the option to check the media and social networks every five minutes, follow every press conference, recycle information from various sources. And allow yourself to get caught in the dangerous web of a series of bad, catastrophic, and depressing information. I do not suggest burying your head in the sand. I suggest you choose which information is important and makes your life better.
Misery is a choice. Just like happiness. To skip from a series that can lead you to the door of serious dissatisfaction in just a few minutes, it is enough to catapult your inner dialogue like science fiction invention forward or backward.
And so:
- Consider what your life, daily routine, and habits will look like in a year. Will anything that seems crucial now matter? Instead of spreading and accumulating bad news, look within yourself, your loved ones, and new opportunities. All those books, online education, and forgotten hobbies have finally come into their own. Think about how lucky you are to be able to enjoy your morning coffee alone in isolation where, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to allow anyone from the outside to influence your thoughts.
- Think about what your life looked like a year ago. You surely experienced, achieved, or materialized things at that time that you never thought you could. You may be a year older, but everything that seemed impossible is surely already a routine for you today. That only means one thing. The way you talk to yourself and your expectations determine your future and your present reality.
And finally, ugly but real and simple. Do not spread bad vibes, do not support communication of helplessness and darkness. If in your 20 square meters you can enjoy music, the smell of the first morning coffee, and the antics of your pet, you are better off than everyone who is currently struggling for recovery. Appreciate that and be happy.
