Now that you have mastered small talk with acquaintances, in May we bring you four workshops after which you will confidently engage in small talk with business associates! In the third workshop, you will learn expressions for introducing colleagues to business associates!
After we introduce ourselves and the company we work for to business associates, we will also introduce our colleagues with expressions such as Can I introduce you to…? Have you met…? This is my colleague, … or I’d like you to meet… If we want to emphasize similar interests that our colleagues have with those business associates, we will say You and … have something in common or You both like/enjoy/are interested in… Instead of the verb to enjoy, we can also use the expression to be keen on something.
Introducing colleagues can sound like this:
Can I introduce you to my colleague, Nataša? She enjoys sailing too/she is keen on sailing so you should have plenty to talk about.
