PREHNIT Former Director of DZS Marko Krištof Joins Company for ‘Smart City’ Solutions

Macroeconomist Marko Krištof, former director of the State Bureau of Statistics, has joined the company Prehnit , where he has taken on the role of Director of Business Development and Finance.

In the position of Director of Business Development and Finance , I will be responsible for optimizing internal processes and for the development, promotion, and sales of Smart-City solutions and solutions related to data analysis and visualization. I believe that my experience in building and managing complex statistical systems, defining indicators, and developing systems for data collection, processing, and analysis will open new opportunities, both in the domestic and international markets – said Krištof. 

Prehnit is an engineering and consulting company, established in 2009, specializing in the collection, analysis, and processing of spatial data, cartography, GIS education, and the development of GIS software and specialized IT solutions. They are engaged in the development of decision support systems and systems for managing smart cities (Smart-City). Prehnit’s property registration system – ENA is particularly interesting to cities and municipalities as it provides an overview of the actual state of areas and purposes of facilities for the purposes of municipal fees – which allows for an increase in municipal fee revenue in individual areas by 20-70 percent.

For local government units, they create solar potential maps, develop address databases of streets and house numbers, and align them with the cadastre. Prehnit also provides services to the private sector, particularly in the transport, energy, and environmental protection sectors, with one-fifth of its revenue generated in foreign markets.
