The Employer Partner Certificate, an award for excellence in employee management granted by the consulting firm SELECTIO, has been awarded to Business Intelligence for the second time, a leading Croatian company for the implementation of analytical systems and strategic ICT consulting. As part of the certification for the Employer Partner status, companies undergo an independent assessment of their HR processes in five areas: Strategy, Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management, Training and Development, and Employee Relations.
Business Intelligence has achieved higher results in four out of five assessed areas this year compared to the previous certification process, thereby confirming its commitment to the continuous development of its employee management processes. Business Intelligence emphasizes that employee satisfaction is their top priority, characterizing the past year, 2019, as the “year of feedback,” during which they conducted a comprehensive employee satisfaction survey, allowing employees to provide feedback on their managers’ performance to better understand their needs.
During 2019, competencies for each job position were clearly defined, based on which personalized development plans for employees were created. To facilitate quicker and easier advancement in competency development, the company continuously invests in the development of all its employees, including students, providing numerous technical and soft skills training. On average, an employee of Business Intelligence participates in over 100 hours of training annually, with the majority of training taking place both domestically and internationally. Significant investments are also made in skill enhancement and knowledge sharing within the company through a mentoring system and internal knowledge transfer, leading to the establishment of the internal PI Telco School and PI Data Engineering School. Business Intelligence places a strong emphasis on new technologies, as evidenced by participation in projects and competitions focused on Data Science and Data Engineering. Great attention is also paid to maintaining employee well-being and balancing private and professional life, with regular monitoring of overtime work, various flexible work arrangements, and opportunities for various sports activities being provided.

– Last year was marked by numerous initiatives and projects in the field of human resources. The results are evident, as we improved processes in four out of five assessed areas compared to the previous year. I am truly happy that this effort has been recognized and that we have once again achieved this valuable certificate. What also pleases me is that the importance of the human resources area is understood throughout our organization. The enthusiasm and effort of all our departments in implementing projects and new practices in this area is exceptional, and our Human Resources team is recognized as a true partner to our business departments. I thank everyone who diligently participates in creating and implementing best practices in the field of human resources. Their effort and work have enabled us to obtain the Employer Partner certificate – highlighted Anita Cvetić Oreščanin, a member of the Management Board of Business Intelligence.
– I am proud that we have once again met the high standards of quality in human resource management set by the Employer Partner Certificate and made significant progress in most assessed categories. The recommendations we received after the first certification were an excellent guide for improving our processes. With new recommendations and ideas, we will continue to work on enhancing our practices because it is very important to us that employees are satisfied and can realize their business ambitions while also having a quality private life. Although we are currently working from home due to the lockdown, the well-being of employees is our top priority at Business Intelligence, and through regular communication and inquiries about employee needs, we strive to provide everyone with the best working conditions while also taking care of their physical and mental health – stated Nataša Margetić Lukić, Head of Human Resources.
Currently, there are 64 certificate holders in Croatia, Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Russia, Slovenia, and Serbia. The Employer Partner Certificate project is supported by the general sponsor portal MojPosao and the business weekly Lider as a media sponsor.
