Ivana Jakir Bajo, Chief State Treasurer, is set to become the new Vice Governor of the Croatian National Bank (HNB). The Parliamentary Committee for Elections, Appointments, and Administrative Affairs is expected to submit this proposal to the Croatian Parliament from its electronic session on Tuesday, which appoints the Governor and Vice Governors of the HNB based on the recommendation of this Committee and the opinion of the Parliamentary Committee for Finance and State Budget.
Jakir Bajo, who is the Chief State Treasurer and Assistant Minister of Finance, will assume her new position on July 1 of this year. Jakir Bajo is taking over from Neven Barbaroša, who ceased to hold the position of Vice Governor of the HNB on October 25 of last year due to the expiration of his term.
Barbaroša coordinated activities in the area of the Payment Systems Sector at the HNB. The HNB has six Vice Governors.
