Today in Croatia: Milanović visits the Modern Gallery, session of the Parliament…

ZAGREB – President of the Republic Zoran Milanović will visit the Modern Gallery in Zagreb, which has reopened after a break due to the pandemic and the earthquake that damaged it, and will tour the retrospective exhibition of Vatroslav Kuliš featuring works created from 1974 to the present (10:30 AM, Modern Gallery, Andrije Hebranga 1).

ZAGREB – Official signing of the Contract for the allocation of non-repayable funds for the project "Multisensory Aerial Imaging of the Republic of Croatia for the purpose of assessing the reduction of disaster risk." The signing will be attended by the Minister of Environment and Energy Tomislav Ćorić, General Director of Croatian Waters Zoran Đuroković, Director General of the State Geodetic Administration Damir Šantek, Dean of the Faculty of Geodesy at the University of Zagreb Almin Đapo, and a representative of the City of Zagreb (9 AM, Croatian Waters, ulica Grada Vukovara 220). ZAGREB – Press conference of HDZ representatives and Chairman of the Committee for Croats Abroad  Božo Ljubić on the topic "Review of the Zagreb Summit in the context of expectations and political processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a special emphasis on Croats in BiH" (11 AM, Croatian Parliament, Trg sv. ZAGREB – The GLAS parliamentary club is convening a press conference on the topic: "Vatican Agreements in the Age of Corona." Anka Mrak-Taritaš and Goran Beus Richembergh will speak at the press conference (10:30 AM, Croatian Parliament, Trg sv. Marka 6, dv. I. Kukuljevića). 

ZAGREB – The Siget Association, the initiative Zagreb calls you, Green Action, and Right to the City are organizing an action against Mayor Milan Bandić and his harmful policies on the Day of the Liberation of Zagreb. The organizers emphasize that they are sending a symbolic message about the necessity of liberation from Bandić’s interest network and his detrimental management of Zagreb. In addition to the action, a press conference will also be held (10 AM, next to the northern Sava embankment, east of the railway (Hendrix) bridge).

ZAGREB – In 2019, more than 720,000 domestic tourists opted for multi-day trips within Croatia and abroad through Croatian travel agencies, which is an increase of 18.6 percent compared to 2018, while agencies recorded a 14.7 percent increase with the arrival of 2.8 million foreign tourists to Croatia, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
