ZAGREB – The 33rd session of the City Assembly of the City of Zagreb will be held online via voting through an application solution (9 AM). The proposed agenda includes 19 items, including a report from Mayor Milan Bandić on the activities and measures taken to combat the coronavirus epidemic and mitigate its consequences, as well as a report on the consequences of the earthquake and the measures and activities being undertaken to repair the damage. The agenda also includes proposals from opposition city representatives regarding housing for citizens affected by the earthquake and a proposal requesting the mayor to submit a report on the extent of damage to buildings resulting from the earthquake.

ZAGREB – The Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanić, will consecrate new crosses that will be placed on the towers of the Zagreb Cathedral, of which the southern tower was destroyed in the devastating earthquake on March 22, and the northern had to be removed to the same height as the collapsed southern tower and lowered to the ground. The new crosses will be displayed in front of the cathedral at 11 AM, and Cardinal Bozanić will consecrate them at 12 PM.
VARAŽDIN – A press conference on the announced start of classes on May 11. ZAGREB – The Government is expected to determine the proposal for the rebalancing of the state budget for 2020. Finance Minister Zdravko Marić announced that the expenditure side of the budget will remain the same, but all departments will be subjected to savings, with the least impact on the ministries of health and labor.
