The analysis of entrepreneurs who were on the ranking list of the 10 entrepreneurs with the highest revenue in the respective year over a period of 10 years, from 2008 to 2017, showed that it is a group of 19 entrepreneurs, of which four were on all ranking lists throughout the mentioned period, namely INA-Industrija nafte, Hrvatska Elektroprivreda, Hrvatski Telekom, and HEP-Operator distribucijskog sustava.

The mixed ownership company, INA-Industrija nafte, was ranked first throughout all 10 years as the entrepreneur with the highest revenue. The presented data shows that the company reduced its revenue from 26.7 billion, which it achieved in 2008, to 18.3 billion kuna, which it achieved in 2017 (a revenue decrease of 31.5%). During the observed period, INA-Industrija nafte achieved the highest revenue in 2011, amounting to 28.1 billion kuna.

HEP, a state-owned company, was ranked second or third during the observed period, alternating in those positions with the privately-owned company, Konzum, which was not on the ranking lists in 2016 and 2017 because it did not submit an annual financial report for the mentioned years.
In the observed period, the largest jump on the ranking list by total revenue among the 10 listed entrepreneurs was achieved by Prvo plinarsko društvo, which was not among the 1000 largest by revenue from 2008 to 2012, was among the top 100 in 2013, and then climbed the ranking list, finishing in third place in 2017.

Hrvatski Telekom, another mixed ownership company, was ranked fourth or fifth by revenue during the observed period. Pliva Hrvatska, along with INA-Industrija nafte, is another company from the processing industry that was on the top 10 ranking by total revenue in 2017 and during the period from 2014 to 2016.
Throughout the observed period, the TOP 10 entrepreneurs by the criterion of total revenue achieved the highest revenue in 2012, totaling 89,793 million kuna, which was also the largest share of the TOP 10 in the total revenues of entrepreneurs at the national level (14.7%).

The fact that the top 10 entrepreneurs by total revenue have a share in the total revenues of entrepreneurs at the national level, which ranged from 9.5% in 2016 to 14.7% in 2012 (presented in an Excel table), shows the importance of a small number of entrepreneurs on the overall results of entrepreneurs in Croatia.
