The State Donated Real Estate Worth 118 Million Kuna in Half a Year

The Ministry of State Property donated real estate worth approximately 118 million kuna in the first half of this year and concluded 184 contracts with a total value of 83.1 million kuna, according to the report on the implementation of the strategic plan for the period 2018 – 2020.

“The reduction of the state portfolio is being carried out through the sale of real estate and the dissolution of co-ownership communities, and on that basis, 184 contracts with a total value of 83.1 million kuna were concluded from the beginning of the year until June 30, 2018,” states the semi-annual report on the implementation of the methods of realization and reform measures from the revised strategic plan of the Ministry of State Property for the period 2018 – 2020.

As emphasized by the Ministry, during the observed period, a total of 29 contracts were concluded under which real estate was donated with a total market estimated value of 118.4 million kuna.

They note that during the first half of 2018, the emphasis was placed on the disposal of real estate precisely for the purpose of their contribution to social, cultural, and educational advancement, and in this regard, 26 decisions on the donation and allocation of state real estate in favor of local and regional self-government units were made.

To activate unused state property, 107 contracts were concluded from the beginning of January to the end of June. Of that number, 40 relate to contracts for the establishment of easement rights, of which 16 are compensated, and 24 are without compensation. There are also contracts for construction rights, of which one is compensated and 17 contracts are without, two lease contracts with anticipated compensation, and finally 47 contracts for the allocation of real estate for use, of which only one anticipates compensation.

The Ministry explains that activities aimed at reducing the state portfolio and activating unused state property are being carried out within the framework of the reform measure to improve the management and disposal of state property in accordance with the National Reform Program for 2018, with the aim of reducing public debt.

“According to the revised strategic plan of the Ministry of State Property for the period 2018 – 2020, revenues from non-financial assets for 2018 are planned at 98.8 million. Total revenues from the management of non-financial real estate in the first half of 2018 exceeded the planned amounts for the entire year of 2018, and for the period from January to the end of June, they amount to slightly more than 103 million kuna, achieving significant growth compared to the same period in 2017,” states among other things in that report.

Through the sale and transfer of shares from January 1 to June 30, revenues of 383.6 million kuna were achieved, which arises from the decisions made by the Management Board or the director of the Center for Restructuring and Sale (CERP), the document states. It is also noted that as of June 30, 70.5 million kuna was paid into the state budget based on profits from commercial companies in the Ministry’s portfolio.
