The awarding of this year’s World Architecture Award will take place in November in Amsterdam, and the list of buildings that have made it to the shortlist has recently been published, writes BBC.
The Chapel of Our Lady of Fátima in Portugal has been nominated in the religious architecture category, designed by the architects Plano Humano.

A bamboo stalactite is located in Venice, designed by the architects Vo Trong Nghia.
The London theater Royal Academy of Music was inspired by the shape of string instruments, designed by the architects Ian Ritchie.

Among the finalists is the minaret-free Vali-e-asr mosque in Tehran, designed by Fluid Motion architects.
A wonderful example of construction is also the research center The King Abdullah Petroleum Studies in Riyadh, designed by the architects Zaha Hadid.
