HTZ Promotes Off-Season in 11 Foreign Markets – Online

The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) is conducting campaigns for the off-season and autumn on 11 foreign markets through social media, portals, and other online channels, particularly promoting nautical and cultural offerings, enogastronomy, and active holidays, reported the HTZ Main Office on Monday.

“Although we are in the heart of the tourist year, which is achieving planned good results, we are also focused on the off-season from which we expect a lot, especially in the nautical tourism segment. We believe in the ‘strengthening’ of September, during which the weather conditions in Croatia are still very favorable, and tourists can experience Croatia in a somewhat calmer environment than during the main summer season. The same goes for October, when a significant number of seasonal flights will still be available to tourists, active until the end of that month,” said Kristjan Staničić, Director of the HTZ Main Office.

Highlighting the promotional campaigns for the off-season, which are ongoing in numerous foreign markets such as Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Norway, the Czech Republic, Spain, and others, he emphasizes that they are taking place on portals, displays, social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, as well as YouTube channels, and will last until the end of September.

Among the details from the campaigns, HTZ highlights visuals for promoting cultural tourism that are thematically dedicated to Nikola Tesla and his Memorial Center in Smiljan with the title This Place is Electrifying!, while for active and especially cycling tourism, Pag is promoted with the message You’ve Tried Moon-Walking But Have You Tried Moon-Cycling?, given that this island features a barren area often compared to the Moon’s surface.

Top-notch enogastronomy is promoted, among other things, with the message This meat is so delicious because it’s made by the wind, and part of the promotion of Croatia continues with celebrated football players and their connection to the cities where they were born. For example, Slavonski Brod is visually and communicatively linked with Mario Mandžukić, Donji Miholjac with Domagoj Vida, Zadar with Luka Modrić, Omiš with Ivan Perišić, Imotski with Ante Rebić, Karlovac with Dejan Lovren, etc., all under the slogan Croatia, Full of excellent players.

The off-season campaign is also accompanied by the autumn version of the “Croatia Feeds” campaign through the title Take a Tour of Champions in the Tiny Country Which Dared to Dream.
