Pilots of the largest European low-cost airline RyanAir began on Friday the largest pilot strike in the history of the company.
Nearly 400 RyanAir flights, approximately one-fifth of all flights across Europe, were canceled on Friday, according to BBC. The strike is expected to last 24 hours, starting from Friday at three o’clock in the morning.

The work stoppage involves RyanAir pilots from Ireland, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
The strike during the summer season will affect 55,000 passengers, mostly in Germany – 42,000.
Passengers will be offered by the company’s management to change their flight schedule for free or receive a refund. No other compensation will be provided.

Pilots are demanding new contracts with higher salaries and better working conditions.
