KLM is one of the first European airlines to offer the option to store boarding information in the Google Pay app. Airline tickets automatically appear on the phone a few hours before the flight. A similar function has already been available to iOS KLM app users through the Apple Wallet service.

The new Google Pay option is available to KLM app users in countries such as the United Kingdom, the USA, Spain, Germany, Brazil, Croatia, Poland, and Slovakia, but Google has announced that Google Pay will be available globally, so KLM expects it will not be long before it is available to all their users.

The Google Pay option has been added to the existing KLM app and contains information about flight reservations, online check-in, and downloading airline tickets. Soon, the option to purchase in-flight Wi-Fi will be added, along with CO2 compensation options.

About 70% of app users consistently use the KLM app several times a month.
