Today in Croatia: Decision on the Legality of the Strike at Croatia Airlines

ZAGREB – The County Court in Zagreb is making a final decision on the legality of the strike at Croatia Airlines (CA) announced by the union of the Workers’ Organization of Croatia Airlines (ORCA), demanding the opening of negotiations for a new collective agreement (12 PM, County Court, Trg Nikole Šubića Zrinskog 5).

ZAGREB – First-grade elementary school children will learn about the importance of consuming honey and incorporating it into their diet starting this school year, and each child will receive a jar of this product from a domestic producer in December, as stated in the proposal for the School Honey Day program and the promotion of Croatian beekeeping, which is currently under public discussion. The program, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, will help create better conditions for positioning honey from Croatian beekeepers in the market. A total of 2 million kuna will be allocated for the implementation of the program, of which 1.2 million kuna is for the measure “School Honey Day” and 800,000 kuna for the measure “Promotion of Honey from Croatian Beekeepers.”

ZAGREB – In the Croatian territorial sea, 246 cruise trips by foreign ships were recorded in the first six months of this year, which is 10 trips or 4.2 percent more than in the same period in 2017, and there were 12.6 percent more passengers on these ships, totaling 356,607, as reported by the State Bureau of Statistics. These cruise trips were made by 54 cruise ships that docked in Croatian seaports, where they stayed for a total of 522 days, which is 3 days or 0.6 percent more than in the first six months of last year.
