Moscow announced on Thursday that it is considering retaliatory measures after the United States announced it would impose new sanctions on Russia due to the country’s responsibility for the poisoning of a former Russian double agent in England, reports News.com.au.
“The Russian side will engage in the development of retaliatory measures in response to Washington’s hostile move,” said Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“The US is deliberately worsening bilateral relations between the two countries,” Zakharova said in a statement reported by TASS.
The United States announced that it intends to expand sanctions against Russia over allegations that the Russian government is responsible for the poisoning with chemical weapons of a former Russian double agent in England earlier this year. Russia, on the other hand, has denied the accusations.
