The European Automobile Manufacturers Association has listed how many charging points each EU member state has for electric vehicles. It turns out that as much as 76 percent of the total infrastructure for electric vehicles is located in just four countries, writes Večernji.

The Netherlands leads with a share of as much as 28% of the total number of European chargers, with 32,875 stations. It is followed by Germany with 22 percent (25,241), France with 14% (16,311), and the United Kingdom with 12% (14,256) of the total number of electric vehicle chargers.

On the opposite side of the scale are Cyprus and Greece with only 36 and 38 charging stations, respectively. Among the tragic figures in this story is Romania – it is almost six times larger than the Netherlands but has only 114 charging points for electric vehicles, which is 0.1% of the total number of chargers in Europe. The aforementioned four countries rich in electric vehicle chargers cover only 27 percent of the area of Europe.
