Dina Tomšić, the director of the Zagreb Fair, which has been separated from the Zagreb Holding since the beginning of this year and is once again an independent company, has initiated a series of activities to make Velesajam a national and leading fair center in Southeast Europe.
>>> The 15th Zagreb Auto Show has opened, richer than ever
The previously initiated transformation of Velesajam, aimed at changing the business model, redesigning the space, and intensifying the core fair activities, has resulted in an increase in the number of events to over 200 per year.
The efforts invested in the core fair activities are also visible in the growth of natural and financial indicators by ten percent in the first half of this year, during which eleven fair events were held in five fair terms. Part of the pavilion has been repurposed into a sports zone.

For the second half of the year, ZV is preparing ‘Food and Healthy Living Fairs’ as a national project of economic importance, and, of course, its leading fair projects, ‘Ambient’, ‘Interliber’, and ‘Infogamer’. In May next year, the ‘Central Europe Tourism Summit – CETS’ will be held at Velesajam, and alongside all this, activities related to the celebration of 110 years of Velesajam’s continuous operation will take place.
