North Korea has not halted its nuclear and missile program in violation of United Nations sanctions, according to a confidential UN report that was made available on Friday.
The report for the six-month period, prepared by experts monitoring the implementation of UN sanctions, was later submitted on Friday to the Security Council committee responsible for sanctions against North Korea.
“North Korea has not stopped its nuclear and missile programs and continues to challenge Security Council resolutions with a massive increase in unauthorized deliveries of petroleum products, as well as coal transfers at sea in 2018,” the experts wrote in the 149-page report.

The North Korean mission to the UN did not respond to a request for comment on the report, reports Reuters.
The report also states that North Korea is attempting to sell weapons “to countries in the Middle East, African countries, including the Houthis in Yemen.”
It adds that the country is violating the textile export ban by exporting more than $100 million worth of goods between October 2017 and March 2018 to China, Ghana, India, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, and Uruguay.
