A suspicious conference in Dubrovnik, organized by Ariadne Capital Limited from the United Kingdom, founded by a certain Julie Meyer, is unlawfully advertising itself as an investment company – states the announcement from the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency. The announcement emphasizes that this company invites all interested parties to the conference The 8th Annual Follow the Entrepreneur Investor Summit, which will take place on October 9 and 10, 2018, in Dubrovnik.

– According to data published on the official website of the competent supervisory authority of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Financial Conduct Authority, it has been established that Ariadne Capital Limited has had its authorization to operate and provide investment services revoked. Consequently, it is not authorized to provide investment services or offer them in any way to potential clients in the Republic of Croatia – states the announcement from Hanfa.

Three lawsuits against Meyer in Malta
Incidentally, a certain Julie Meyer is known for dubious activities, at least if one is to believe Maltese and British media. Namely, in early May, Malta Today reported that Julie Meyer is facing three lawsuits for unpaid salaries and invoices in Malta and the United Kingdom. Meyer was the organizer of the Investor Summit ‘Follow the Entrepreneur’, which was also attended and addressed by Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Minister of Economy Chris Cardona.
Ariadne Capital lost its investment services license in Malta due to multiple ‘serious violations’ in its operations. The company did not cooperate with the Maltese regulator (MFSA), nor did it have sufficient capital to manage an alternative investment fund. Ariadne Capital has been under investigation since November 2017.
Let us reiterate, as stated in Hanfa’s announcement, that Julie Meyer is the organizer of the two-day conference in Dubrovnik. Interestingly, the website of this conference is de facto locked and can only be used by members, which was not the case a few months ago when Lider received a tip-off from abroad about a certain lady. Some conference partners have also been informed about this, who told us that they would address this issue in more detail.
