Starting this week, WhatsApp users have a new feature offered by the application, which is group video calls, reports TechCrunch.

We decided to try out the new option in the Lider editorial office to see firsthand how it works. After establishing a video call between the first two participants, the caller can add new participants by tapping the icon in the upper right corner, initiating a video call in which a maximum of four people can participate simultaneously.
As for the quality of the image, although it depends on the quality of the connection, in our case we saw the interlocutors poorly, while we, of course, saw ourselves in quite solid quality, approximately like on Skype.

Three years ago, WhatsApp introduced the voice call option, and a year later, video calls. Today, more than 1.5 billion people use this application monthly, and according to the company’s leaders, calls lasting more than two billion minutes are established daily through the application.
