At the initiative of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, the Government adopted a Decision on the declaration of a Day of National Mourning on the occasion of the death of Oliver Dragojević, which will be observed on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

The Day of National Mourning will be marked by the flag of the Republic of Croatia being flown at half-mast on all buildings housing state authorities and local and regional self-government bodies, as well as on buildings where legal entities are headquartered or conduct their activities, or where individuals carry out independent activities.
The Day of National Mourning, unlike a Day of Grief, does not imply the cancellation of previously planned events.
