SUV and crossover vehicles are in trend, so when customers are looking for something, it is literally served to them in all forms. Ford is no exception in this regard and has announced a new Active series, which will be spread across several models in its lineup. The first in the series is the Fiesta. The name Active automatically associates with an active life, nature, off-road. The recipe is simple and so far always ‘works’ with customers, and it goes: take a regular car (regardless of the model) and put protective plastic on the lower part of the body, raise it, and if possible, widen the threshold. Not an off-road vehicle, but form is the most important.

Three electronic programs
There is no talk of all-wheel drive, but as a small compensation, three different electronic programs are offered. The Normal mode uses standard ESC settings and traction control adapted for everyday use, while the Eco model – which is available only in combination with a manual six-speed transmission – adjusts the engine’s operation and throttle response to help the driver save fuel. For driving on surfaces with lower grip, there is probably the most interesting of the offered modes, called Slippery, which adjusts the operation of the ESC system and traction control on snowy or icy surfaces.
