Net profit of Dukat in the first half of this year amounted to 7.9 million kuna, which is 55.1 percent lower than in the same period last year, according to the financial report of Dukat published on Friday.

During the first six months, business revenues amounted to 873.4 million kuna, an increase of 9.9 percent compared to the same period last year.
“During the first six months of 2018, positive economic trends from previous periods continue, especially the growth of personal consumption, which is reflected in the increase in sales revenue,” emphasizes the management of Dukat in the report commentary.
Sales revenue of Dukat in the first six months of this year increased by 9.3 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 863.9 million kuna.
Revenue from sales in the domestic market, which accounts for 84.1 percent of total sales revenue, amounts to 726.5 million kuna and is 8.3 percent higher compared to the first six months of last year.
In international markets, sales revenue increased by 14.6 percent to 137.4 million kuna, accounting for 15.9 percent of total sales revenue.

Dukat’s business expenses in the first half amounted to 863.8 million kuna, which is 9.3 percent higher than in the same period a year earlier.
“The domestic dairy sector recorded a significant decline in milk production and a lower availability of fresh raw milk for further processing in the first six months. The period is also marked by the continued influx of market surpluses at extremely low prices, primarily of long-life milk and semi-hard cheeses from non-EU markets and EU countries into Croatia,” the report states.
According to data from the consolidated report, the Dukat group achieved a net profit of 75.9 million kuna in the first half, which is an increase of 21 percent compared to the same period last year.
The group’s consolidated business revenues amounted to 1.8 billion kuna, an increase of 4.9 percent, while business expenses rose by 4.3 percent to 1.7 billion kuna.
