The Ministry of Defense announced a public competition on Wednesday for the admission to the cadet service and a public competition for the admission of candidates for training as medical doctors for health service officers.
Based on the published public competition for the admission of candidates for training as medical doctors for health service officers, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Croatia will accept fourteen candidates.
The requirement for admission is a completed integrated undergraduate and graduate university study, the title of doctor of medicine, and a specialist in the field of medicine, in accordance with Article 43 of the Law on Service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia (OSRH). In addition, candidates must meet the general conditions for admission to the OSRH as prescribed by Articles 34 and 34a of the Law on Service in the OSRH.
There is no age limit for the admission of medical doctors to active military service.
The deadline for submitting a hand-signed application is 30 days from the date of publication of the competition in the Official Gazette, and applications with evidence of meeting the conditions from the competition should be sent to the address: Human Resources Management, Sector for Development and Management of Human Resources, Zagreb, Stančičeva 6.
Before admission to training, candidates undergo a special selection process.
The Ministry of Defense will exclude candidates who do not meet the conditions based on official data from military records, results of psychological testing, health examinations, security, and other checks according to the regulations for admission to active military service.
The training of candidates for officers lasts two months and begins in September. Candidates who have not completed the voluntary military training program or military service will be directed to voluntary military training under a special program.
