Plava Laguna Stimulates Employees with Nearly 1.5 Million Kuna

Poreč’s Plava Laguna has allocated nearly 1.5 million kuna this year for seasonal incentives for its employees, with a stimulation payment of 500 kuna already disbursed with the June salaries, the tourism and hospitality company reported on Tuesday.

The seasonal incentive has already been paid for June and will also be disbursed with the July salary. The amount of the incentive is 500 kuna (gross I), and it has been granted to all employees who have also achieved the monthly hour fund.

For employees who did not achieve the monthly hour fund, the incentive has been paid in a proportional amount, and for the month of July, it will be paid according to the same principle, the statement notes. A total of 2,587 workers, students, and pupils are covered by the incentive.

The tourism company states that they have been rewarding their employees with seasonal incentives for years, for which nearly 1.5 million kuna has been allocated this year. The payment and calculation of the seasonal incentive are regulated by the collective agreement, Plava Laguna emphasizes, noting that the paid incentive counts towards the employees’ pension calculation.

Education for the Best Employees

Plava Laguna reminds that they continuously reward their employees, and this year the base salary has also been increased (by four percent) as well as the total material rights of employees (on average seven percent). Additionally, each year, seasonal workers are selected who win special awards, and those who have particularly distinguished themselves attend training to further advance in their work.

Plava Laguna is the first company in Croatia where more workers are employed under one form of permanent cooperation, and less than half are seasonal workers, the statement notes.

The company also highlights that this year, 10 percent of the total capital budget has been invested in the construction and renovation of personal homes, and the trend is to continue investing to ensure that workers have the best possible living conditions both at work and in their free time.
