In the first half of July, 165,000 fewer tourists arrived on the Adriatic compared to last year, and it is easy to find available beds even in the second half of July, confirming that last year’s tourist pressure on Croatia has diluted, writes Slobodna.

Of course, these are small numbers that do not overly excite tourism workers as their double-digit growth in May has improved the situation. However, in the first twenty days of July, all coastal counties recorded a smaller or larger decline in guest arrivals, ranging from three to even 12 percent, while overnight stays are either lagging behind or at the level of last year.
At the same time, Turkey recorded a 32 percent increase in the number of guests in the first half of the year, with 60 percent more Germans, 30 percent more Russians than last year, and 15 to 20 percent more guests from the EU. Their plan is to reach a total of around 40 million guests this season.

Greece plans to increase the number of guests by four million this year, reaching a total of 32 million tourists, which they are currently achieving with a 15 percent growth, and visits to Spain are also increasing by about three percent so far.
