Members of the Bjelovar-Bilogora County Assembly on Tuesday accepted the first revision of this year’s county budget by a majority vote, with revenues increased from 485 to 489.7 million kuna, and County Prefect Damir Bajs explained that this is largely the result of successful applications and implementation of projects from EU funds.
County Prefect Bajs believes that the residents of Bjelovar-Bilogora County will thus receive a new standard in education and healthcare, where the largest investments will be made.
Anita Nekić Pavičić, explaining the revision, mentioned among other things that in the field of education alone, with the help of EU funds, planned investments exceed 80 million kuna.

She also added that she is confident there will be at least one more revision by the end of the year, which will further increase revenues.
Support for the revision on behalf of the SDP, the coalition partner of the Independent List of Damir Bajs, was given by the newly elected president of the county SDP, Tihomir Jaić.
Ivan Beljan from the opposition HSS criticized the revision for the increase in representation costs, the planned procurement of new vehicles, and the increase in the costs of the County Prefect’s Office.
For the budget revision, 23 county councilors voted in favor at the meeting, while 12 voted against.
