Google Street View Car Back on Croatian Roads

The Google Street View car will once again drive on Croatian roads this summer, focusing on refreshing information about the roads connecting Croatian cities.

The drive starts on July 31 and will last approximately two months. More information can be found on Street View, and a detailed view of where Google’s vehicles are at the moment of searching can be seen here.

For privacy protection purposes, photographs collected by the Street View car undergo processing with special technology that blurs faces of people and license plates of vehicles before they are published, preventing their identification and thus protecting their privacy.

Street View also has an option for additional removal of flagged photos that users can report by pressing the “Report a problem” button in the bottom right corner of any photo.

Street View is a popular service on Google Maps currently available in over 85 countries around the world, as well as in parts of the Arctic and Antarctica. Thanks to the Street View service, users can see various streets and cultural and national heritage in 360° format. This service is also available on Google Earth, as well as on Google Maps for mobile devices.
