With special excitement in the capital city and throughout Croatia, the return of the Croatian national football team is anticipated, having secured second place at the World Cup in Russia, with captain ‘Blazers’ Luka Modrić being named the tournament’s best player.
The aircraft of Croatia’s national airline, Croatia Airlines, an Airbus 319, is scheduled to depart from Moscow to Zagreb at 11 AM, and is expected to arrive at Franjo Tuđman Airport around 1:30 PM. Croatia Airlines proudly points out that their aircraft also brought back the ‘Ćirina reprezentacija’ to Croatia in 1998 after winning the bronze medal at the World Cup in France.

A large number of citizens are expected at Zagreb Airport, as well as along the entire route of the open-top bus carrying the national football team and coaching staff. The bus will travel along the route: Ulica Rudolfa Fizira – Zagrebačka ulica – Ulica Savezne Republike Njemačke – Avenija Dubrovnik – Avenija Većeslava Holjevca – Most slobode – Ulica Hrvatske bratske zajednice – Ulica grada Vukovara – Savska cesta – Rooseveltov trg – Trg Republike Hrvatske – Frankopanska ulica – Ilica – Trg bana Josipa Jelačića.
