Croatian fans have prepared a spectacular welcome for our national football team, who watch in disbelief as rivers of people follow them on their way from Zagreb’s Franjo Tuđman Airport to Ban Jelačić Square.
Not even an hour after the plane with the world football runners-up landed, the panoramic bus with members of the Croatian national team could not get further than Velika Mlaka.

Immediately upon landing, the gathered airport employees sang the chorus of the anthem “My Homeland” for the representative, and then boarded the bus which, accompanied by police, headed towards Zagreb. The pace at which the bus moved allowed the players to take jerseys from the gathered fans, who number in the thousands, and sign them.
It took the bus more than 40 minutes to leave the airport area and break through to Zagrebačka Street, where the bus could start moving a bit faster.
The streets of Zagreb and the approaches to the main city square are flooded with people eagerly awaiting the arrival of the world vice-champions.
