In honor of the Croatian national football team, which is preparing for a magnificent welcome in Zagreb on Monday, Mayor Milan Bandić has announced that public transport in Zagreb will be “completely free” from midnight until the end of Monday, the Mayor’s Office announced on Sunday.
This further facilitates the arrival of fans from all parts of Croatia, as well as from other countries, to the central city square, as well as a full day stay in proud Zagreb, the Office stated, appealing for visitors to come to the city center exclusively by public transport.
Special parking spaces, especially for buses, have been secured on the western and eastern sides of the Zagreb Fair, from where an extraordinary ZET line will operate to the Main Station terminal.
The Mayor of Zagreb has also enabled free parking for personal vehicles at the recently opened Gredelj-Strojarska parking lot, where 500 parking spaces are available, at the Paromlin parking lot, which also has more than 500 spaces, and in front of the Goods Terminal at Jankomir.
