On Friday, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković called on all employers who can to allow their employees to participate in the welcome for the national football team that has reached the final of the World Cup on Monday.

“This fantastic success of the Croatian national football team and the fact that we are in the final of the World Cup is a success that has been globally recognized and is a huge promotion for the country, Croatian sport, and Croatian football. I would like to thank our football players, coach Dalić, and the leadership of the Croatian Football Federation for everything they have provided us over the past month. It seems to me that it would be great, and I want to appeal to employers, since we know that a magnificent welcome for the team is being prepared here in Zagreb on Monday, that all those who can allow their employees to participate in that welcome and greet our Vatreni in as large numbers as possible. And we hope, of course, after winning the World Cup,” is the message from the Prime Minister published on the Twitter of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
