Croatia’s victory over England and our national football team’s entry into the World Cup final was marked last night in the heart of London, at the prestigious Euromoney 2018 Awards for Excellence, where Privredna banka Zagreb received the award for the best bank in Croatia.
PBZ CEO Dinko Lucić took to the stage, in front of nearly a thousand bankers from around the world, with a red-and-white emblem around his neck and, deviating from the usual protocol, sent a cheering message to Croatian footballers.
“This is one of the most important days for PBZ, but even more important for Croatia. Although many of you are sure that England will be the winner, we, although a small nation, feel that our time has come. Go Croatia and long live Croatia! We are small, but we are all one. I sincerely thank all employees for this prestigious award, and our hearts will beat together when we achieve a historic victory tonight,” said Lucić last night in London, who had reasons for a double celebration.
