Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović stated on Wednesday in Brussels that she expects Croatia to reach the final of the World Cup and sent a message to Croatian footballers to play their best.
President Grabar Kitarović is participating in Brussels at the meeting of heads of state or government of NATO member countries.
When asked upon arrival at the summit whether Croatia will compete for first or third place after tonight’s semi-final match between Croatia and England, she replied that she expects to enter the final.
“I believe we will fight for first place, see you in the final. This morning I sent a message to coach Zlatko Dalić and all our ‘Vatreni’ to hold on, to play the best and most beautiful they can, and to play for their families, our youth who are seeking opportunities in Croatia, for our Croatia, the Croatian people, all citizens, and all those who cheer for Croatia around the world, and we have seen that there are many of them,” said the president.
