Since the beginning of July, Marko Primorac has been the new economic advisor in the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, an acquisition from the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, where he has been an assistant professor since March 2016.
Primorac’s main scientific interests are financial management and risk in the public sector, fiscal federalism, and taxation. He was a member of the Expert Working Group for the revision of the tax system and the development of new legislative solutions in the tax system of the Republic of Croatia, a member of the Commission for the development of a new model of financing units of local and regional self-government, and a member of the Working Group for the preparation of the Draft Proposal for amendments to the Pension Insurance Act.
