HEP at the Scientific Conference Legacy of Nikola Tesla – Smart Technologies and Energy Efficiency

Representatives of Hrvatska elektroprivreda will discuss the evolution of energy services in the age of digital technologies, energy-efficient transformers, and numerous other innovations developed from Tesla’s inventions at the scientific-professional conference Legacy of Nikola Tesla in Gospić on July 10, 2018.

Hrvatska elektroprivreda, as the heir to Nikola Tesla’s inventions, is participating this year in the commemoration of July 10, the anniversary of the birth of this national giant and world genius. Alongside numerous events in Croatia and around the world, Tesla’s achievements are celebrated in Gospić, where a scientific-professional conference ‘Legacy of Nikola Tesla – Smart Technologies and Energy Efficiency’ is held on his birthday.

The organizer of the conference is the Nikola Tesla Polytechnic, whose mission is to more clearly associate the name ‘Genius from Smiljan’ with Lika and Croatia, and to gather scientists and experts every year on his birthday at the Polytechnic that bears his name to present the latest achievements in the fields of innovation, smart technologies, and energy efficiency.

Participants can expect a panel discussion ‘Smart Cities, Smart Grids, and Smart Metering for Increasing Energy Efficiency’ featuring representatives from ministries, scientific institutions, and HEP-Operator of Distribution System. Representatives from HEP-Operator of Distribution System will also present the latest achievements in the field of energy-efficient transformers, the use of smart electricity metering to increase energy efficiency, and the impact of smart technologies on managing the distribution network.

On the other hand, representatives of HEP ESCO and HEP d.d. will hold lectures on the evolution of energy services in the age of digital technologies and the development of the electromobility project in Croatia. Hrvatska elektroprivreda and the Nikola Tesla Polytechnic aim to promote the importance of the legacy of the great inventor and the values associated with his contribution to the development of the modern world through this event.
