The Circus Berlin, currently performing in Zaprešić, has attracted significant attention. Not only for its performances but also for the seven Bactrian camels that are allowed to graze daily in the meadow in Zelengaj where the circus is located. The meadow is on the outskirts of the city, bordered by roads and residential buildings, houses, the Zaprešić utility building, Ban Josip Jelačić Secondary School, and a bowling alley.

The camels seem to be unfazed by this, and although they are only fenced in by a rope, they graze peacefully while lazily watching passersby and curious onlookers. The most common onlookers are, of course, children, and even mothers with toddlers in strollers are not afraid of the new temporary residents of Zaprešić, approaching them very closely. The Zaprešić camels are also a topic on Facebook. The residents of Zaprešić mostly joke and post pictures of the camels, although there are some concerns, as the circus life of these animals does not seem very rosy. In addition to camels, Circus Berlin also has Indian cows, ponies, horses, and donkeys that can be seen in their enclosures before and after performances, and this year they plan to tour the whole of Croatia.
