“In such conditions, just 2% fewer applications for advertisements sounds incredible”
The total number of unique applications in the first 6 months of 2018 is only 2% lower than the total number of applications in the first 6 months of 2017. The decline is most influenced by deficit categories of professions (construction, tourism and hospitality, IT and telecommunications).
– It is estimated that 300,000 people have left Croatia in the last seven years, which would be nearly 43,000 people annually. However, the estimate for 2017 is even worse and shows that 82,000 people left the country. During the same period, we recorded an average annual growth in the number of advertisements of 4% until 2011, and since 2017, this growth has been a staggering 34% and continues to rise. In such conditions, just 2% fewer unique applications for advertisements sounds incredible, but it is proof that we are successfully reaching new users. However, the average number of applications per advertisement is significantly lower because the large growth in advertisements is not accompanied by a similarly large growth in applications. Immigration policy is our necessity, but at the same time, we need to utilize our internal reserves. Namely, it is said that unemployed people and those working in private companies are leaving Croatia, which means that now is the ideal opportunity to halve the number of employees in the public sector and help them with retraining, and I am sure that most of them will find jobs in the labor market, says Igor Žonja, director of MojPosao.
