After the Rovinj hotel group Maistra acquired the HUP hotels in Zagreb in February, it was expected that the former director of HUP, Kristian Šustar, with 15 years of experience in managing the hotel business (including at Maistra), would take a leading position in another hotel company. However, as we unofficially learn, Šustar has transitioned to the position of development director at the largest tour operator agency – Uniline, chaired by Boris Žgomba.

Žgomba has announced the establishment of a new company, Amarin, which will focus on hotel management, so it can be assumed that this will also be Šustar’s main task. According to announcements, Uniline would manage properties with up to 150 rooms, which can include hotels, apartment complexes, mobile homes, and reportedly, two greenfield projects are in preparation for which Žgomba has found two different investors. These involve the construction of a hotel in Zagreb with around 100 rooms and in Istria with 300 rooms.
