Financial advisor for a specific group of suppliers and certain owners of debt securities Hrvoje Japunčić stated on Wednesday that certain creditors did not vote for the settlement primarily for pragmatic reasons, namely dissatisfaction with how much they have been paid so far and how much they will be in the future, as well as what their ownership stake will be in the new Agrokor.
He notes that everyone who voted against has a legal deadline of 15 days to file a lawsuit, after which the Commercial Court’s decision follows, and then it goes to the High Commercial Court, so that “somewhere around October full legal validity is expected.”

When it comes to Agrokor’s operational business until then, he believes that the summer season will contribute to the further sustainability of the group.
When asked about the assessment of whether Agrokor will continue to operate as a single entity and whether such an agreement exists among key new owners, Japunčić stated that in his opinion, and that of part of the expert public, it is better for Agrokor to remain a group.
If the entire business is restructured in the future and set on even better footing, there will be a better future evaluation, and in the case of a sale, a higher value will be achieved than in individual sales, said Japunčić.
