In comparison, this is 8.2 percent more than on the same day a week earlier, reports Večernji list.

This was confirmed by Pero Ivanković, president of the Association of Beer, Malt, and Hops Producers HKG, who claims that major sporting events, especially European and World Cup football championships, significantly boost the economy through increased consumption, and the beer industry has always played a leading role in creating a good atmosphere in the sports environment, contributing positively to overall economic trends in the manufacturing sector in Croatia.
– The overall impact of the brewing sector is increasing over time, and the sector has achieved growth even during the recession, indicating its strong potential for generating economic activity in the country. Therefore, it can be expected that consumption during the World Cup and the activities of leading brewing companies in Croatia will contribute to the overall growth of the beer market in Croatia, Ivanković commented for Večernji list.
