A budget rebalance will not be necessary, and further tax relief is expected from September 1, stated Minister Zdravko Marić at the conference ‘The Future of the Tax and Pension System’, reports Večernji.

– We have accomplished a lot in these two years, public debt is decreasing, we have exited excessive deficit, our credit rating has improved, said Marić.
He emphasizes that at this moment a budget rebalance is not necessary because, he says, “we have very responsible and rational budget planning,” and adds that “we remain within the budget expenditure we planned.”

– We can expect further tax relief from January 1, 2019, announces Marić. Although he did not reveal what kind of relief it is, according to Večernji’s reports, it can be assumed that it concerns a reduction of VAT from 25 to 24 percent.
