ACI Received Certificates for Environmental, Quality, and Energy Management Systems

Today, a ceremonial presentation of three ISO certificates to ACI d.d. for the environmental, quality, and energy management systems was held at the ACI marina in Ičići.

SGS, the world’s leading company for inspection, verification, testing, and certification, ceremoniously presented ISO certificates to the CEO of ACI, Kristijan Pavić, for ISO 9001:2015 in the area of quality management systems, ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management systems, and ISO 50001:2011 for energy management systems.

Twenty-two ACI marinas, as part of the largest marina system in the Mediterranean, have confirmed their commitment to responsible business practices, responsible energy use, and environmental preservation by meeting strict certification requirements, with the aim of improving the quality and safety of services provided to guests, enhancing business processes, and contributing to the promotion of sustainable tourism in Croatia.

The CEO of ACI emphasized on this occasion: “I am extremely pleased that ACI has shown, through this international certification, that it is a company that works intensively and will continue to work on improving the quality of business and is aware of the need to protect the environment and use energy efficiently. Our efforts are aimed at bringing the quality and diversity of services in Croatian nautical tourism to a level of excellence so that Croatia is recognized as a destination for top-notch nautical tourism.”

“Through continuous investments in organization, facilities, human resources, and environmental protection, we are long-term influencing the increase in quality and raising standards in marinas, as well as with business partners and throughout the entire destination, which is reflected in a number of other tourism and economic sectors. This highlights the uniqueness of the ACI system with 22 marinas in a specific way. Namely, all 22 ACI marinas have received 3 ISO certificates – for quality, energy, and the environment, which is a unique case in Croatia. This achievement is additional confirmation that ACI is a leader in the segment of Croatian nautical tourism business but also an additional incentive towards achieving excellence,” concluded Pavić.

• Systematic improvement of standards and maintenance of a high level of service to clients through monitoring new technologies and their application
• Continuous monitoring and raising the level of guest satisfaction
• Continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the established quality management system through an integral and comprehensive approach by establishing responsibility among the organization’s staff at all levels of the organization

Environmental Protection Goals:

• Preservation of the cleanliness of the sea and coastal areas in marinas through continuous improvement of pollution prevention from land (from activities carried out in the company’s concession area) and from vessels using marina services
• Promotion and implementation of more efficient waste management and handling, as well as speed and efficiency in responding to sudden pollution and spills
• Raising awareness of the need to protect the marine environment among guests and employees

Energy Goals:

• Permanently improving energy performance
• Continuous control and minimization of energy consumption in operations with the application of energy efficiency principles when planning future projects and procuring equipment, as well as in organizing daily operations
• Planning the use of energy from renewable sources where possible
