Today in Croatia: Energy Days at FER

We announce the most important events in Croatia for Monday, May 7:

SPLIT – The President of the Republic Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović will attend the celebration of the Day of the City of Split and the feast of St. Domnius, the patron saint of Split. After the traditional procession from the cathedral to the ceremonial altar on Split’s Riva, the solemn mass will be led by Šibenik Bishop Tomislav Rogić (10 AM).

ZAGREB – The second simulated parliamentary session of students will take place, featuring students from the University of Zagreb and the Polytechnic of Rijeka (from 9 AM to 3 PM, Croatian Parliament, St. Mark’s Square 6). At the simulated session, 128 students of law, economics, and political science will discuss amendments to the Constitution related to decisions of national importance for Croatian citizens that need to be made through a referendum. The President of the Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandroković will also address the participants.

ZAGREB – Continuation of the 11th session of the Zagreb City Assembly (9 AM, Old City Hall, St. Cyril and Methodius Street 5/I).

VINKOVCI – Regional conference on the possibilities of preparing EU projects of broader interest for the food production sector and the development of Slavonia, Baranja, and Srijem (Large County Hall, Glagoljaška 27). The Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Gabrijela Žalac will also attend the conference.

ZAGREB – Presentation of the project titled “Reconstruction of the Student Dormitories Stjepan Radić and Cvjetno Naselje” as part of the “Open Door Days of EU Projects” (12 PM, SN “Cvjetno Naselje”, Student Club in Pavilion 7, Odranska 8).

ZAGREB – As part of Zagreb Energy Week, Energy Days will be held at FER organized by the Institute for High Voltage and Energy (ZVNE). Along with a round table on “Democratization and Decentralization of the Electricity Sector,” which will gather leading Croatian institutions, companies, and associations dealing with energy, the organizers announce that guests will be able to familiarize themselves with scientific research projects in the field of energy at FER and, for example, handle “light sabers,” visit the wind tunnel, take a ride in a small electric vehicle, etc. (10:00 AM, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, Unska Street 3).
